Bula!! Well the new millenium arrived and I'm still
hanging out in Colorado and loving it. I've just been
loving the outdoor activities here, doing a bunch of
snowboarding, volleyball (grass and sand), biking, and
rock-ciimbing. All of that kept me pretty busy, but I
did manage some free time to find a fantastic lady who
I'll be marrying in September. We'll be getting
married in Estes Park, CO on the 14th of Sept. Karen
has been kicking butt w/ the planning and I just try
to throw in my two-cents in where I can. Inevitably
it is deemed to have just about that much value! I
think I'll maintain the tradition I started w/ some
other friends who were married out here, a big grog
session the night before the wedding to calm the
groom. Would love to have anyone out who thinks they
could make it, I'll have to resurrect addresses but
all are certainly welcome (wedding and grog of
course)!
In other news, I did end up leaving the aerospace
world (I think I mentioned that in the last
newsletter) and am now in the quite turbulent IT
world. It is fun though, things move much much more
quickly than in the aerospace world. To facillitate
that move, I started towards a Masters in Comp Sci but
as I was doing that I'd much rather study philosophy
so I dropped that and have been taking classes
prepping for grad work in philosophy. I expect to
enroll next fall into a grad program and then work and
study at the same time, so it will be a slow process.
This stuff is great though, I get to write papers
where we debate whether or not the number two exists.
That's about it for me, hope everyone is doing well!
Sa Moce,
Steve
