This photo shows an elaborate and traditional presentation of an i sevusevu. An i sevusevu is a gift that you present to someone whom you are visiting, thanking, or showing respect to. Usually yaqona (described in the next page) is presented, but just about anything is appreciated. The monetary value of whatever it is that you present is NOT of high importance. The significance of presenting an i sevusevu is the respect that you show to the other person.
